In 2008, in Santiago, Chile, we revised Drink.Pee.Drink.Pee.Drink.Pee project, with the participation of one of its creators, Britta Riley, an american artist and designer, mixing science and art to develop proposals for a future society. Is Master of Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU.

A project about the role of humans in large ecosystems. It was created by Britta Riley and Rebecca Bray, artists who also have a company called Submersible Design.

What happens when we think of our bodies as their own ecosystems? Where does  my ecosystem end & another begin? Where do we draw the line? Before taking any medication, we wonder how it will affect our internal organs, our friendly bacteria? What is the way of this drugs, beyond our bodies, drains and waterways that we swim or drink? Where’re our personal waste going?

This work can be seen our urine become a source of overfeeding, mutation and disease or a fertilizer for a new life cycle. The residues can stimulate the life or death.

The project includes a DIY kit to turn your urine into fertilizer.
